Every plan includes the REST API, the MCP server, and both editors. Every render is handled the same way, whatever the plan.
One PDF costs one credit, whether it comes from a template or from raw HTML. A merge of N documents costs N credits. Previews and exports from the editors are free.
Starting a paid plan
- Go to Settings → Billing, or pick a plan on the pricing page
- Stripe Checkout asks for a card: it is required, even for the trial
- The 14-day trial starts at once. The first charge happens when it ends
Changing or cancelling a plan
Go to Settings → Billing and click Manage subscription. The Stripe billing portal opens, where you can:
- switch between Basic and Pro, monthly or annual. The change is prorated: you pay or are credited the difference for the rest of the period;
- update your card, and see and download your invoices;
- cancel. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and can resume until then.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe emails you and retries. Your plan holds for 7 days; a banner in the app says until when. After that it is suspended until the invoice is paid from the same portal. Your quota on an annual plan still resets on the first day of each month.
Going past your quota
The monthly quota resets on the first day of each month; unused PDFs do not roll over. Past it, generation does not stop straight away:
- The first time a Basic or Pro account crosses its quota, it receives a one-off welcome pack of 1,000 PDFs. Discovery accounts do not receive it.
- Prepaid credit packs then take over: 1,000 PDFs for $5, bought from Settings → Billing. They never expire and are only used past the quota.
- Once the quota and the credits are both used up, the API answers
402 Payment Requireduntil you buy a pack or the next month starts.
You are emailed at 80% and 95% of your monthly quota, when 90% and 95% of your prepaid credits are used, and once a month when generation stops because both are used up.
Failed payments
If the first charge after a free trial fails, the paid plan ends at once. If a later renewal fails, the plan stays active for 7 days while Stripe retries the card, then ends until a payment goes through. Your templates are never deleted: only the paid features stop.
Annual billing
Basic and Pro can be billed yearly, which costs the equivalent of ten months: $240 instead of $288 for Basic, $790 instead of $948 for Pro.
